The Bloke's Bible - Hopwood, Dave
Availability:
Our Price: £7.59

The Bloke's Bible is a selection of familiar Bible stories, retold. Running parallel is the story of an ordinary guy who goes to the pub and, opening his battered Bible, reads and reflects and wonders everything you've ever wondered.

Hard-hitting, challenging and very honest, Dave Hopwood's sharp observance of human nature and divine love makes an entertaining, exciting and often poignant read.

Customer Reviews

A Must Read Book for All Males (and females)
I came across the Blokes Bible by accident, but what a read. I would only put it down when I felt myself cringing, because I could relate to the material. Each chapter leads off with stories from the Bible in varying formats, but very readable. Using todays language throughout. The second part of the chapter is listening to the thoughts (honest feelings - not the sort we normally hear) of a fellow in his local Pub. It's not the cheery type pub you see on the box, but a bit like life, raw! All of the chapters are very thought provoking and most people would be able to relate to at least one chapter if not more.
