The Divine Conspiracy: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life in God - Willard, Dallas

Our Price: £8.54

At the end of the 20th-century an expression of Christian spirituality is forming which is focused on biblical truth and not on denominational labels. It considers the truths of judgement and grace and what the author calls "theologies of sin management", all set against a backdrop of materialism.

Kingdom Reality Transformed
I have to admit that this book has had a significnat impact upon my understadning of the reality of God's presence within our everyday life. Dallas Willards understanding of Jesus' teaching on the sermon on the mount is refeshing and perahps the most liberating I have ver heard. It makes the kingdom of God a tangible reality of everyday life. Willard make a clear case of the need for the western church to get back to its hebraic roots and instead of living faith from a greek mindset we need to live our life of faith from an eastern way of living. Our western / greek interpretations of the scritpure have in many ways, as shown by Willard, distorted the actual intention of what Jesus was meaning when he gave the beatitudes. I would recomend this book to any one who has an angst in the soul about western chrisitanity and longs to get back to the roots of our faith and the geniune intentent Jesus, his teaching and miistry.
