"Every year I am inspired by the whole harvest season and the dramatic lighting at this time . I wanted to paint something which combined these natural aspects but yet had something to say about the toil of the Christian. I see that being a witness can sometimes be a lonely place and I wanted to bring encouragement by simply acknowledging those people who are faithfully serving God but not yet seeing the results. As an image combined with scripture, I hope it has the potential to inspire other Christians to really step out into the field and get their hands dirty."
